Corona Virus: Thomann’s Preventative Measures

Dear customers,

for Thomann, the health of our customers and employees has top priority and is at the forefront of all our considerations.

Due to current developments, our shop and t.kitchen cafeteria in Treppendorf will remain closed as a precautionary measure from March 14th, 2020 until further notice. Unfortunately, we are also unable to accept any repairs and returns personally on site.

We follow the recommendations of the authorities and take preventive measures to protect our fellow human beings from the corona virus.

You can still order as usual at thomann.de. With these precautionary measures we want to ensure that we can continue to receive and process your online orders, returns and repair orders by post.

    Hi! I am noticing a definite slowdown in order processing. To set proper expectations (which are usually quite high due to your excellent service) perhaps you should update here on the blog if you are running at lower capacity and also perhaps on if and what the current border closing in the EU effect will have on getting orders shipped to customers. I am sure everyone will be quite understanding.

    At the moment, any music equipment shop is closed to the public.
    Most of them are more focussed to customers, that visits the store. They haven’t a real online store, as Thomann can do. And they can’t change this so fast and turn a “Come to us and see what we have on display” website into something, that replaces the physical store.
    So I guess, that many customers, who usually buy at the local shop, turns to Thomann. Unless there are no music events, we musicians doesn’t stop doing music and we continue to need a cable, a pick or to buy new equipment, maybe to use the chance to change a sound system to digital mixing console.
    So I understand, that everything slowed down.

    Hatte gerade bestellt und es klappt.
    Momentan l?uft ja alles, was nicht Lebensmittel, Waschmittel und so ist, nur noch über Versand.
    Man kann nicht mehr sagen “Ich brauche ein Netzwerkkabel, kaufe ich mir mal rasch im Elektronikmarkt” oder “Saite gerissen, ich gehe mal bei meinem Musikladen vorbei und hole mir mal neue”.

Now I have put the same items in my shopping cart again today, but it is not showing USA pricing. So before I try to purchase anything again, I would like to see the USA exchange rate, or better still, the price of the items in USA $-DOLLARS-$. Leider ist jedoch auch ein Teil der Wahrheit, dass es mittlerweile zu ungewohnten Einschr?nkungen kommt. Seit mehr als 10 Tagen warte ich auf die Rückerstattung eines defekt gelieferten Artikels unter der Bestellnummer 202014.527468. J’ai passé une commande hier sur votre site (n° 202016.776241), j’essaie d’appeler pour savoir quand je serai livrée et pour préciser une information importante le jour de la livraison. Impossible d’avoir qui que ce soit au tél (quelque soient les numéros essayés). J’ai déjà payé et je ne voudrais pas me retrouver sans matériel livré, sans info sur la livraison et sans la possibilité de vous transmettre des informations essentielles pour cette future livraison.
    J’ai également essayé le chat du site : il n’est pas actif. J’ai envoyé un mail, aucune réponse.
    Je sais que la situation actuelle n’est pas toujours simple pour les entreprises mais n’indiquez pas sur votre site qu’on peut vous joindre pendant cette période alors que c’est faux…

    Pourquoi un fournisseur comme thomann avec la réputation qu’il a, ne précise pas les délais de livraison. Il est vrai qu’habituellement les délais sont indiqué, mais il devrait préciser leurs conditions car les clients sont dans l’expectative.

    I placed an order 10 days ago via the Portuguese shop, did not receive notice nor answer to emails after paying. However, I could talk to somebody at Thomann by phone yesterday. He explained that what I ordered (a bass guitar) was currently going through internal quality control. Afterwards it will be shipped. Based on Jan’s comment above, waiting times of 10 days and more seem to be normal at the moment.

    I first wrote you on the 28th of March concerning my order, it is now the 22nd of April. I’ve been tracking my order and there has been no update since the 4th of April. It’s as if the order is stuck in limbo. Is there any way someone at your company can check on my order and let me know where it might be? This is the first time I ordered anything from your company and I hope that it would be a pleasant experience. You say that you ship your orders out within 5 to 10 days. I know that might not be realistic when it comes to shipping to the USA, but would you please have the courtesy to update your customers about their orders if there is an issue with the shipping. After all, we’re spending our hard-earned money with your company and most of us are not working at this time. I would really appreciate swift reply.

    I’ve received no information other than the guitar was shipped. I sent four emails to Export and Guitar emails at Thomann prior to shipping. One requesting an address correction. All four asked to add another guitar to the order. The emails were sent 4/15, 4/16, 4/17…

    NO ONE AT THOMANN HAS RESPONDED TO ANY OF THESE EMAILS.

    I understand the constraints on businesses given the Covid-19 pandemic. I understand that perhaps not ALL of my emails would be answered. But one out of four? And it’s been two weeks with no answer? And now no guitar?

    This is my first order with Thomann. It was based on the quality of products as well as the reported exceptional customer service.

    I was excited to buy another guitar (Harley Benton DC-600 VI Vintage Series) even wanted to add it to this order.

    Now I am wondering if I just spent $220 for no reason.

    Gentleman.. I’m very interested to buy (online) a Taylor acoustic guitar… kindly confirm if shipping to Saudi Arabia is available. If so, please provide an estimated delivery time.
